Hunter

Scream And Run Survivor Playbook

You are not a named hero. You are a flashlight, a crouch, and a backpack search.

Survivor Playbook

Scream And Run does not give you a class select. Every survivor is the same R6 body with the same official binds. The difference is behavior. This page ranks teammate types so you stop following the person who is about to feed the Cat in the Hat. For hunter identity, use the Cat hub. For object notes, use items. For the actual loot path, use keys.

The useful teammate

A useful teammate crouches at doors, pulses the flashlight, calls empty rooms, and does not stand in the exit foyer until keys exist. They split from a stacked classroom. They do not ‘prove’ they are brave in a main hall. If you find one, stay a room apart, not in the same desk pit. Two-exit geometry is in the hiding-spot list.

Voice chat is optional. This is not a scream-to-jump title. If you do talk, call landmarks. If you do not talk, assume nobody heard you and play as if you are solo in a 50-player server — because you often are.

The noisy teammate

Shift held down, F held down, every door opened for sport. They are hunter bait. That can be useful if you need a distraction to finish a backpack. It is not useful if they lead the Cat into your S-tier classroom. Let them go. Do not ‘save’ a sprinter unless you have a slide already aimed at a second door.

The physics teammate

Owns Push Pass or Grab And Throw. In a friend server with rules, they are comedy. In a public Escape, they are a wipe condition. Give them space at the exit. If they grab you during No Power, you will not see the recovery. Leave their stack.

The hoarder

Stands on a key interact and waits for a montage. If the exit needs a set, a dead hoarder is a dead lobby. Ping and rotate. You cannot force a drop, but you can stop feeding them protection.

The hunter-main queued as survivor

They bought 2x Cat chance and they are bored. They will test shove angles on you. They might also know Play as the Cat routing well enough to call hunter pathing. Listen to the calls, ignore the shoves.

Solo rules in a full server

  • Sweep opposite the crowd.
  • Never take the first main hall out of spawn.
  • Hide as a pause, loot as a job, exit as a small group.
  • If the lobby is already dead, do not grief yourself by touring. Reset and take the Escape loop again.

Infinite Lives does not change these rules. It only lets you break them once more. Buy it after you can identify the four teammate types above without thinking.

If you are the only person looting while nine people dance in spawn, you are the actual lobby. Play the school, not the emote circle. The Cat in the Hat farms dancers for free and then walks your key room while you watch the feed.

After the round

If you escaped, note whether you followed someone or whether you swept. If you died, note whether it was a hall, a stack, or a shove. Then open the matching guide: halls are getting started plus hides, stacks are this page, shoves are gamepasses, missing keys are backpacks. Codes will not fix a teammate problem. Scripts will not make a sprinter smarter.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Are there survivor classes in Scream And Run?

No named classes. Everyone shares Shift, C, Shift + C, and F. Skill is routing and discipline.

Should I stay with the crowd?

Stay near, not on. Crowds reclear the same classroom and die together. Split doors.

Can teammates push me?

Yes if they bought Push Pass or Grab And Throw. Treat that as a hazard in public Escape.

Is voice required to play survivor well?

No. Optional calls help. Mic jumping is not a mechanic here.
